A DJ with over a decade worth of experience; SlickVic formed the event in 2021 and has since curated spaces all over the country where Amapiano is the central focus. 4PM in Soweto began in Indianapolis in 2021, inspired by the vibrant Amapiano genre from South Africa, a fusion of House, Jazz, Kwaito, and Soul. Founded by Victor During (SlickVic The DJ), our mission is to bring the sounds and spirit of Amapiano to a welcoming space where people can connect, celebrate, and immerse in a unique cultural experience. Now, with events across the U.S., we invite everyone to sip, socialize, and enjoy a blissful atmosphere where music and community unite.
Trustory is a Houston-based DJ and member of the 4PM In Soweto family, bringing a deep love for African and global dance music to every set. Known for blending amapiano, Afrobeats, house, and soulful grooves, he creates dance floors that feel equal parts celebration, discovery, and community.
With an ear for infectious rhythms and crowd-moving selections, Trustory seamlessly connects sounds from across the African diaspora and beyond, delivering sets that are energetic, uplifting, and impossible to stand still through. Whether opening the day or driving peak-time energy, his mission is simple: bring people together through music and movement.
